Ida B. Wells High School celebrated prom “On Cloud 9″ at OMSI on Saturday.
Kids filed in, dressed to the nines, greeted with mixed non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, cotton candy and free-reign of the first floor of the science museum.
Prom-goers could participate in some of the hands-on experiments in OMSI, like the earthquake simulator, and could enjoy a laser light show set to popular musical artists like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.
There was plenty of dancing to be had in the auditorium room. Music included classic prom tunes from artists like FloRida and Daddy Yankee interspersed with more contemporary artists like SZA.
Thanks to Ida B. Wells for having us on their prom night. We hope you all had fun. Look for more photos from other schools at oregonlive.com/prom.
