If I’m reading the news correctly, working folks can’t afford to buy consumer goods because their wages are too high, the way to end gun violence is with more gun violence (a good guy with gun) and there is no federal money available to help Americans suffering from hunger, homelessness or illness, but there is an unlimited amount of money available to fund wars.
In my opinion, our current “inflation” is being caused by corporate price gouging. We can’t pass effective gun control because the folks who want to overthrow the government might have to give up their weapons. The war profiteers and fossil fuel industry have become such a large part of our economy that we must keep them profitable lest they bring the whole thing down.
Is this any way to run a democracy?
