By covering the LIV event at Pumpkin Ridge in the sports pages, you are doing exactly as the Saudis would have you do, sportswashing this. (“Branden Grace wins LIV Golf Portland Invitational amid a party atmosphere,” July 2)
If you must give this space in the Oregonian, please put it in the Business section for what it is: a corporate exhibition in which participants are paid varying amounts to appear and, at the end of the event, receive participation trophies and hold a press conference to rationalize how it is fine for them to accept blood money gained at least partly through the abuse, torture, and murder of innocent people.
