A person shot Tuesday in the 3100 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard has died, police said Wednesday.
Police have launched a homicide investigation but have released few other details, including the name of the victim.
Officers have detained “a person of interest,” police wrote in a press release.
The death marks the eighth homicide in Portland so far this year. By the same time last year, 19 people in Portland had died by homicide.
