After a rare snowfall on the Oregon coast, Eric Davis and his 5-year-old daughter, Indra, rode the sand dunes at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area in Pacific City last Thursday morning.
The coast got about 4-6 inches of snowfall in some areas. Davis says he typically sandboards this dune, but this time he snowboarded it and said it was a “surreal bucket list experience.”
Davis is also a rockhound who runs the Instagram account oregoncoastagates that shares photos, videos and tips on how to find of the iron oxide-colored rocks on the Oregon coast.
