Talia von Oelhoffen, Oregon State’s leading scorer the past two seasons, has ended her 2022-23 season because of an injury.
Von Oelhoffen, a third-year sophomore, wrote on social media Thursday that she’s “been battling an injury all year, and unfortunately, I will not be able to finish out the season.”
Von Oelhoffen didn’t specify the injury, but she has worn supportive tape on her right knee for the entire season.
Oregon State (11-16, 3-13 Pac-12) has two regular season games and the Pac-12 tournament remaining this season. The Beavers play Arizona State at 7 p.m. Thursday in Gill Coliseum.
Von Oelhoffen finished her social media post by saying “I won’t be out on the court, but this team is not done yet!! See you next year, 22.”
Von Oelhoffen is averaging 13.2 points and 3.3 assists this season. She scored a career high 41 points in a win over Nevada on Dec. 17.
Last season, von Oelhoffen averaged 13.7 points and 3.0 assists a game. Von Oelhoffen arrived at Oregon State midway through the 2020-21 season after graduating early from Chiawana High in Pasco, Wash. Playing 13 games that season, von Oelhoffen averaged 11.3 points and 3.0 assists a game.
