The Story Behind The Vodka Cranberry
As an ingenious way to sell more cranberry juice, Ocean Spray recommended blending its tart red liquid with vodka beginning in 1945. Originally called the Red Devil, the drink was renamed the Cape Codder 20 years later. Today, bar goers are more likely to order a Vodka Cran or a Cranberry Vodka at their favorite watering holes.
The Vodka Cranberry is a breeze to make at home, and for many, a go-to drink at the bar. Top-shelf vodkas and fresh cranberry juice make for an elevated experience.
