More than 40 years in the writing business and I’ve never stumbled across a story as crazy as the one I’m about to tell you.
It has a bit of everything: A parrot, crows, a cat and a dog. A reward poster and more than a few con artists looking for a quick buck. A woman with an esoteric hobby. A mother-in-law. A couple who moved to Portland last month and knew no one, but after what happened two weeks ago in the lobby of a downtown building ended up with friends.
