Portland police arrested a man on an allegation of attempted murder after a Friday afternoon shooting in Northeast Portland’s Cully neighborhood. The victim is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
A person called 911 at 5:41 p.m. after witnessing the shooting in the parking lot of Stanich’s restaurant, police said. The restaurant is on Northeast 49th Avenue and Fremont Street.
Officers gave first aid to the victim before paramedics arrived and transported him to North Portland’s Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.
The suspect remained at the scene and police arrested him Friday night.
