EUGENE — Oregon is adding another new leg to its special teams room.
Former Cincinnati kicker Alex Bales committed to transfer to UO on Friday.
Bales averaged 62.54 yards over 84 kickoffs last season with 45 touchbacks, which tied for 22nd nationally. His 53.57% touchback percentage ranked 55th nationally, with three kickoffs out of bounds, and he went 2 for 5 on field goals.
A fourth-year sophomore, Bales has three years of eligibility remaining.
He joins a room that has three-year starting kicker Camden Lewis returning for his junior season and Washington State transfer Andrew Boyle has signed with UO.
