About Plaimont:
“When it was founded in the 1970s, the Plaimont project was seen as a slightly crazy ideal. Today, it is a reality, comfortably set in the midst of the Gascogne region of South West France. Plaimont brings together 800 winemaking families covering the main appellations in the Pyrenean foothills, primarily Côtes de Gascogne, as well as Saint-Mont, Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh.
Plaimont distinguishes itself through its commitment to the preservation of indigenous grape varieties, advanced work in ampelographic research, and innovation as an answer to environmental issues. Through innovative and respectful viticultural processes, respect for the local environment, and being able to anticipate change it can meet all the challenges of the future.
Plaimont offers an extensive range of beautifully made wines – whites, reds and rosés – ranging from the amazing value for money Cotes de Gascogne, which can be purchased from national retailers, to fine, complex, wines available through the UK’s top wine merchants.”
